Earlier, Desasiswa Harapan (Block F25 and F26) when established on 25th January 1986, had a capacity of 358 rooms at F25 and 294 rooms at F26. Later, they were merged with Desasiswa Gemilang to be one whole hostel. Thus, Desasiswa Cahaya Gemilang Harapan today has a whopping capacity of 1,297 maximum residents. However, the upgrades and renovations in F26 that you see in our Premium section is in conjecture with the modern-day concept. In other words, you will have to live there to enjoy and discover them! 

Another interesting fact of Cahaya Gemilang Harapan is that it is a female hostel (another one is Saujana). Spotted in the heart of the campus’ geographical place, CGH is full of attractions which mark it as one of the interesting hostels on campus. Surrounded by greenery, the atmosphere will never let you take your eyes off, especially during the rainy days. Not to forget the choice of food varieties at their cafeteria and the ones nearby. They spice up the hostel’s surroundings, literally.
